A++ is an open way of thinking that encompasses today’s architecture and design environment and their cross interdependencies, cross disciplinary and cross cultural influences.
The property is located near the historical core of Ponte Tresa, surrounded by the green hill that dominates the territory with the historic castle. It is a quiet residential area overlooking Lake Lugano that continues towards Ponte Tresa. The residence is part of a small existing building, as a continuation of the perimeter wall that delimits the property towards the village.
The existing building then becomes the entrance to the new volume which presents a compact shape, including two floors above the ground. While the garage is located in the basement.The brick facades open up with large floor-to-ceiling windows creating small pocket terraces, included within the building’s perimeter.
The new building consists of 5 apartments of different sizes, accessible through an autonomous block that includes a stairwell, a distribution corridor and a lift, for connecting the residential floors to the basement, with cellars and parking spaces. In front of the new building there is a green scenic area.
