In the heart of the Swiss Alps, the village of Andermatt in the canton of Uri offers mountain lovers a wide range of leisure activities in all seasons: from skiing to hiking or cycling, to golf. In this fascinating natural setting, the aparthotel The Base is located about fifty meters from the ski lifts and a short walk from the railway station. The building is spread over several floors and has been built using eco-sustainable materials such as wood and stone. With its sloping roof and large windows that open onto the landscape of the Orsera Valley, it represents a perfect synthesis between the style of modern architecture and the rustic character of traditional buildings. Inside, the space is divided between the common areas and the apartments: ten accommodation units of various sizes, of which one on the ground floor accessible for people with disabilities.
The building has a wooden structure that ensures high energy efficiency and excellent sound insulation. Another distinctive feature of A++ is the attention to detail, which is the soul of the project for the aparthotel The Base. The interiors are characterized by a minimalist and elegant design in which the great protagonist is once again wood, used both for furniture and for floors and ceiling coverings. This warm material, combined with neutral colors in shades of white, gray and black, helps to create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
